APA AUDITION FOR FALL DINNER THEATRE

IT IS TIME TO AUDITION FOR THE FALL DINNER THEATRE SHOW
MAY 26, 2023 4-6PM
This summer we will be rehearsing for our Fall dinner theatre production titled Black Comedy by Peter Shaffer. This is a wild and farcical play with a lot of physical comedy and big laughs. Rehearsals will take place mostly starting the last week of July into August and the show will perform in early September.
Auditions will be held this Friday, May 26th from 4-6 pm.
Callbacks will be held next Wednesday, May 31st from 4-6 pm.
Our first read-through of the script will be Wednesday, June 7th, from 4-6 pm.
There will be copies of the rehearsal schedule at auditions, please let me know about any conflicts you may have at auditions or callbacks.
We will be casting these rolls:
- Brindsley Miller – Aspiring professional sculptor, trying to keep everything together and juggling multiple girlfriends, very anxious, a very physically demanding role.
- Carol Melkett – Brindsley’s fiance, very cutesy, demanding, and a little shrill.
- Miss Furnival – Elderly upstairs neighbor, very uptight, very frightenable, cannot handle her alcohol.
- Colonel Melkett – Carol’s father, a former member of the British military. Extremely intense, uptight, grouchy. Probably has a huge mustache.
- Harold Gorringe – Brindsley’s effeminate neighbor, probably gay and in love with Brindsley. Secretly has extreme anger issues.
- Schuppanzigh – German electrician, philosopher type, happy to be employed.
- Clea – Brindsley’s “ex” girlfriend, charming, suave, and fun.
- Georg Bamberger - Wealthy German art collector.
