American High School Theatre Festival
Edinburgh, Scotland · August 2004: "...Congratulations! I am writing to confirm your selection as one of the winners for the 2004 American High School Theatre Festival (AHSTF). You and your students will join the U.S. contingent and perform at the Endinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland next summer as part of the AHSTF program..."
With this congratulatory note the APA students and faculty became one of 33 high schools in the nation who were selected to travel abroad. 1100 students and directors, nominated by state, regional, national theatre companies, and chosen from the top high school drama departments across the nation, will embark on an unforgettable journey.

"...The excellence of your program was recognized by our Board of Advisors comprised of respected university drama professionals..." writes the AHSV program director.

APA has selected to perform the Tony Award-winning musical "The Secret Garden," based on a children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. "This cutting-edge musical requires a cast of exceptional talent and great voices." Exclaims director Tim Nelson. "Our young performers at APA possess both qualities".

Congratulations to Diane Makas-Weber
